In Rob Zombie's 2003 horror movie House Of 1000 Corpses, Captain Spaulding dresses up as a clown, and he is the proprietor of a gas station and fried chicken eatery that also houses a roadside attraction known as Captain Spaulding's Museum of Monsters and Madmen. He is the father of Baby Firefly, and he is a member of the Firefly family. Captain Spaulding uses his gas station to direct people towards the Firefly farm, where they are tortured and killed.
